Beacon Lough Baptist Church Prayer Requests
Importance of Prayer
Prayer is the core of our worship here at Beacon Lough Baptist Church. We believe that problems can be solved through prayer, that attitudes can be changed by prayer, and that God deserves our praise and thanks with prayer. The biblical references to prayer are too numerous to be quoted, there are hundreds of them.
To this end when do we pray at Beacon Lough Baptist Church? Apart from personal prayer times, we pray at our Sunday services, and at our mid-week Bible Studies. Saturday at 8 am sees a dozen people praying together at the church, and every 2 weeks an open prayer time is held in the home of a less mobile church member.
Each month a prayer diary is produced, where for every day a specific person, organisation or topic (local and national) can be prayed for. And every 2 months, we hold a prayer breakfast!! Here we eat a hearty breakfast, enjoy each other’s fellowship and then have an hour prayer time.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4 v 6
What is Prayer
We can say thank-you to God praying with thanksgiving for all His goodness to us; We can confess to God that we have done, said or thought wrong things and ask Him to forgive us; We can petition God asking that He will grant our requests for ourselves and those we love.
We can intercede, praying for other people, and their needs.
“Lord teach us to pray,” requested the disciples in Luke 11 v 1

Prayer Room
Here at Beacon Lough Baptist Church we value prayer as a vital part of our Christian life. With this in mind, we have recently created a prayer room, for private individual use or praying with someone else.
This quiet room, to the right of the front platform, is available to everyone at all times when the church is open, and can be used at the end of worship services.
We will be adding suitable literature and paintings, and trust that this quiet reflective area will be a much used resource in church.
